ANCELOTTI:I COULD RETURN TO REAL MADRID IN 2016

Image
Carlo Ancelotti would consider returning to coaching with former clubs Real Madrid, Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain - but not until the end of the season. Madrid boss Rafa Benitez has come under pressure after his side suffered a 4-0 thrashing against Barcelona in the Clasico, with club president Florentino Perez calling a media conference on Monday to clarify the coach's future. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has also come in for criticism after a disappointing start to the season, and Ancelotti has indicated that, after a season away from coaching, he would be happy to return to one of his previous clubs. "For sure, I could return to Real, but not at the moment as I've decided to take a year out," he told ANSA. "Next season I will return to coaching and I would have no problems returning to Madrid, Chelsea or PSG."

Mauricio Pochettino 'proud' as Harry Kane helps Tottenham beat West Ham

Image
Mauricio Pochettino praised Harry Kane as one of the Premier League's best strikers after the England international netted a brace as Tottenham ran out comfortable 4-1 winners against West ham at White Hart Lane on Sunday. Kane, 22, opened the scoring for Spurs after 23 minutes with a fine turn and finish past West Ham goalkeeper Adrian, before Toby Alderweireld headed home a second 10 minutes later to put Spurs in a commanding lead. Kane -- who went through a goal drought earlier this season after going 748 minutes without a Spurs strike -- added his second with a lashed 25-yard effort to wrap up the game five minutes after the restart, and Kyle Walker netted the hosts' fourth before Manuel Lanzini scored a late consolation for the Hammers. Spurs moved to within two points of fourth- placed Arsenal with the victory, and Pochettino says the belief of Spurs' young squad -- particularly Kane -- is behind their fine recent form, extending their unbeaten...

Arsenal are ready to meet Nolito’s Celta Vigo release clause of £12.6 million and are in pole position to land the Spaniard in January, according to The Telegraph.

Image
The gifted attacker has been a standout player in La Liga for the over-achieving side and has been heavily linked with a move back to former club Barcelona. However, the Gunners are also thought to be keeping a close eye on the 29-year-old, who has forced his way into Vicente del Bosque’s star-studded Spain squad. The latest report suggests that Celta would prefer to sell Nolito to a foreign club over a domestic rival, which gives Arsenal an excellent opportunity to land him in January. Arsene Wenger’s men are reportedly ready to splash £12.6 million on the former Benfica star, who can play as a central striker or on the wing. The Emirates Stadium faithful have urged the club to sign a new striker in January to boost their Premier League title ambitions.

Real Madrid v Barcelona: Lionel Messi won't be 100%, says Luis Enrique

Image
No Lionel Messi will not be at full fitness for Saturday’s clásico at Real Madrid if he makes his return from injury but “the feelings are positive”, the Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, has said. Messi has not played since injuring his knee at the end of September, during which time the champions have pulled three points clear of second-placed Real at the top of La Liga, largely thanks to the form of the Argentina captain’s fellow South Americans Neymar and Luis Suárez. Luis Enrique said a decision would be made on Saturday whether Messi will start at the Bernabéu, where a win for Barça, chasing a sixth La Liga title in eight years, would put them six points clear of Real after 12 matches. “Since he started training again [on Monday] the feelings are positive,” Luis Enrique told a news conference on Friday. “He has recovered and he is playing at the same level as the rest of the squad. Obviously he won’t be at 100% in...

El Clasico: Isis threat makes Real Madrid vs Barcelona 'sport's biggest ever security operation'

Image
The upcoming 'El Clasico' football game between Real Madrid and Barcelona will have the "highest security operation" at a sporting event in history, according to Spain's interior ministry. Following the recent Isis terror attacks in Paris and with Spain's terror threat level already given a four out of five rating, "unprecedented" levels of security will be in place at the Bernabéu stadium on Saturday (21 November). Spanish Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz previously ruled out postponing the match – which attracts a global audience of more than 400 million - saying that "draconian security measures" will provided to ensure the safety of those in and around the stadium. Spain's secretary of state for security Francisco Martinez confirmed police numbers would be doubled for more security patrols. He told Spanish media: "There will be at least 1,000 police from the national force, which is double what is normal for a game lik...

DE BRUYNE: MOURINHO STOPPED ME FROM JOINING KLOPP AT DORTMUND

Image
Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne revealed Jose Mourinho talked him out of a move to sign for Borussia Dortmund while he was still with Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp had attempted to sign him in the summer of 2013 but the Blues' rejected the overtures of the German side, with Mourinho promising the talented youngster more playing time after he had returned from an excellent loan spell at Werder Bremen. However, the Belgian failed to break into the Portuguese's first-team plans and was sold to Wolfsburg the following January, where he was named Bundesliga Player of the Year last season before earning a €74 million transfer to Premier League big-spenders Manchester City. De Bruyne will face Klopp when his Liverpool side visit Etihad Stadium on Saturday, and the 24-year-old has spoken of his admiration for the new Reds' manager. “I had a personal agreement [with Klopp],” De Bruyne told The Telegraph. “I asked the club [Chelsea] to go because I had a good feeling...

Manchester United vs West Brom: Prediction, Probable Lineups

Image
Article Writer :- SURDYCOLE Manchester nchester United may have managed to bring an end to their long goal drought in midweek against CSKA Moscow, but it may not take long for the cries of discontent to return to Old Trafford on Saturday. Wayne Rooney’s winner in the Champions League on Tuesday came after nearly seven goalless hours for Louis van Gaal’s side, which had been accompanied by increasing unrest from the supporters.I As well as chants of “We want to attack,” there were loud boos for the decision to replace Anthony Martial with Marouane Fellaini in the second half against the Russian visitors. United may be within four points of the Premier League summit and top of their Champions League group, but there is far from universal approval of how Van Gaal has developed the side since taking charge 16 months ago. And the prospect of the goals flowing from those in red on Saturday are not helped by the fact that they will be t...

Jürgen Klopp: "The Best Training is Our Matches"

Image
There are lots of interesting questions, though, in the months ahead on how Klopp will approach rotation. It was a surprise for some to see such a strong team selected for a Europa League game, but Liverpool hadn't won a European game all season after three draws in three games. History was made in Russia on Thursday, and furthermore, a winning momentum was maintained. Since his arrival at Anfield, Klopp has been clear with his ideas and beliefs about football. Liverpool fans, neutrals, and rivals have seen them transferred to his players quickly and efficiently in such a short space of time. Perhaps the increased workload compared to German football gives Klopp more matches to implement his methods, something that he might see as an advantage in his situation. He provided an unequivocal assessment, however, of how big European ties should be handled. "If you play Champions League, you are playing Wednesday and Saturday," Klopp said with his usu...

Spain pick Diego Costa among Premier League stars for friendly vs. England

Image
Chelsea's Diego Costa is one of seven Premier League-based players to have been named in the Spain squad for next week's friendlies against England and Belgium. There were no new faces in the 24-man selection for the games against England in Alicante on Friday Nov. 13 and in Belgium the following Tuesday, but recently injured players including Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and Barcelona skipper Andres Iniesta were both included even with Nov. 21's Clasico looming. Other notable inclusions include fit-again Bayern Munich playmaker Thiago Alcantara and Celta Vigo's in-form winger Nolito, while Manchester City midfielder David Silva is out injured. Brazil-born Costa has scored just once in nine caps, against Luxembourg, and has barely played for his adopted country over the last 12 months amid a series of injury problems and apparent misunderstandings between the national team and his club. The coach of La Roja told reporters that he was aware th...

Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola: Arsenal's injury problems helped us

Image
Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola believes Arsenal's injury problems made it easier for his side in their 5-1 Champions League win on Wednesday. Bayern ran riot against the Gunners at the Allianz Arena and were widely praised for their display, with German media commenting that the Bavarians are currently playing in "a world of their own." However, speaking at a news conference prior to Bayern's Bundesliga clash against Stuttgart on Saturday, Guardiola said the display against Arsenal was not quite a Champions League-winning performance. "We played really, really well against Arsenal in the first 35 minutes," said Guardiola, who again refused to talk about his future. "That's not enough to win the Champions League." "We should not forget that Arsenal fielded a side similar to that of ours last season," Guardiola added, referring to Bayern's struggles with injury towards the end of last term. The Bavarians we...

Barcelona's Neymar: I don't watch much of Real Madrid games

Image
Barcelona forward Neymar says he cannot give an opinion on Real Madrid -- as he rarely watches them play. Neymar, 23, has been in outstanding form of late, helping to keep Barca neck-and-neck with Madrid at the top of the Primera Division table -- Rafa Benitez's side are ahead on goal difference -- even with Lionel Messi out injured. Asked for his thoughts on Los Blancos ahead of the Clasico at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Nov. 21, the Brazil captain told beIN SPORTS ESPANA that it was difficult to answer as he almost never watched other teams in action. "I hope we can enjoy many years together, with Messi and Luis Suarez, and in our best form," he said. "I do not know if we are the best but we are doing a good job. We have a great friendship on and off the pitch, and that helps a lot. "I knew how Barcelona played [before joining] and I loved their way of playing and the players the club had. I knew Leo was there. He is the best, and ...

Mourinho defiant: I have YEARS left at Chelsea

Image
The former Real Madrid boss believes he will see out his contract - which ends in 2019 - despite coming under increasing scrutiny at Stamford BridgeJose Mourinho believes he has years left at Chelsea despite the Premier League champions' poor recent form. The Blues have struggled to defend their title in 2015-16 and have lost six of their opening 11 games in the league so far this season. Liverpool recorded their first victory under Jurgen Klopp at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, running out 3-1 winners despite falling behind to Ramires's opening goal, further increasing the pressure on Mourinho. However, the Portuguese is remaining defiant amid a flurry of reports suggesting he is on the verge of losing his job, having signed a new deal in the summer. When asked how long he had left at the club, he told reporters: "Four years. In this case three years and seven months or something like that." Arsene Wenger reveals his biggest fear in life

Image
Arsene Wenger has revealed his biggest fear in life is being late. In an interview with L'Equipe, the Arsenal manager was asked about his spitiual side and admits the prospect of looking back on his career is, at times, scary. "I'm always afraid of being late and not to be ready, not being able to accomplish all that I planned," said the 66-year-old. "My personal relationship with time is scary. To go back in time, to look behind yourself is equally staggering. "First of all, you're frightened because there is less to come than the time already spent. If you wallow with that feeling, it's definitely scary and sometimes you feel guilty." Wenger was also asked about religion and admits the tactic of reading from a book of prayers before a game is no longer in use. "Unfortunately today, it works less!” said the Arsenal manager. “At the same time, fortunately, it means that my team does not necessarily need God to win. "The only ti...

We need to keep working – Daniel Carvajal

Image
“It’s always good to be top of the table, but we have to carry on and keep on winning games to be champions come May. We knew about Barcelona’s half-time score and that it was a golden opportunity to take top spot. It’s an added source of motivation to get out there and play,” the 23-year-old commented. He went on to discuss his own form and how important this season is for him with one eye on getting into the Spain squad for next summer’s European Championships. “I try to repay the coach’s confidence in me by playing well. I hope that Danilo recovers soon and that when he’s back we make it hard for Benítez, and that it’s the team that benefits the most. For me, this year is the most important and the year with the most challenges in my career, with stiff competition at club and international level, and with the Euros in the summer. It’s a year to stand up and be counted,” he stated.

Chelsea ´extremely disappointed´ at Costa sanction

Image
Chelsea say they are “extremely disappointed” by the Football Association’s decision to suspend striker Diego Costa for three games following his conduct in Saturday’s defeat of Arsenal. Costa was involved in a series of incidents with Arsenal defenders Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel in the 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge. Gabriel was sent-off for kicking out at the striker after a bout of verbal jousting, though the Brazilian’s own three-match ban has since been rescinded by the FA. Referee Mike Dean cautioned the Spain international for an altercation with Koscielny just before half-time that left the Frenchman floored. But it is an earlier clash between the two – which saw Costa swing his arm and catch Koscielny in the face – which has prompted the FA to ban the striker, having dismissed the 26-year-old’s appeal against his violent-conduct charge. ‘We are extremely disappointed with the FA Regulatory Commission’s decision to suspend Diego Costa. We will await their ...
